UK selects 10 Municipalities to benefit from its Sustainable Urban Economic Development Programme (SUED) in Kenya

The British government has competitively selected 10 municipalities to benefit from its £60 million Sustainable Urban Economic Development Programme (SUED).  The 10 were selected after 53 municipalities responded to SUED’s Call for Proposals  (CfP) that was launched on 7th November 2018.

With SUED's support selected municipalities will develop sustainable urban economic plans. These plans will help attract investment for critical infrastructure and value chain projects

The 10 municipalities will receive technical assistance from urban economic planners, investment experts as well as capacity building experts.  The SUED supported municipalities will benefit from seed grant funding of approximately Ksh 3.8 Billion equitably distributed
